HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! and happy birthday to me too! thanks to everyone who wished me a happy birthday! (i'm to lazy to give names now)

spent the entire morning visiting and lazing around, being bored to death. my cousins were playing three blind mice, and i wasn't exactly very inclined to join them cos the last time i played, i broke something -.-

apparantly my dad was as bored as me too, so he went to play with my cousins toy car. you know, the kind where you sit on it and you move the steering wheel and the car actually moves? i swear, the older my dad gets, the more he acts like a three year old. he looked really ridiculous zooming around the house. no, not zooming. he was too heavy to move he had to get me to push him.

that aside. yesterday went over to my aunts house for reunion. since there weren't a lot of people (my dad has tons of sisters who went over to their other side)
my aunt (this particular aunt always has reunion dinner with us cos the other side.. you know. not here.) invited people from germany, china and hongkong to have dinner with us too.

it felt more like racial harmony day to say the least.

the company where my aunt (mother's side this time!) works happened to be one of the sponsors for jack neo's new movie "just follow law" so she managed to get tickets for the gala premiere for our whole family.

too bad we reached there late, we missed the whole red carpet walk -.- where al the stars walk in ala hollywood style. but we did see lots of actors and actresses! they even had buffet for the VIPs. then, later on jackneo personally came over to speak a bit to the audience before the show started. they had some DJ from 9.33 to host the event too.

the only other premiere i went to was shrek, but they had no buffet or stars or red carpets! haha

went shopping with jiahui after my tuition and the stupid ass kept saying i was mean to her?! i where got mean to you lor. humph

anyway while i was on the train on the way to bugis, i met my ex tuition teacher whom i fired after one day. of all the modes of public transport, he had to choose the mrt. of all the trains, he had to choose the same train as me. of all the compartments, he had to choose MY compartment. of all the space in the compartment, he had to stand in FRONT of me. WHAT ARE THE PROBABILITIES HUH? 1/10000000000 okay, if you actually draw out that probability tree.

i spent the entire train session looking on the train floor.

and i thought the award for having a clean record for all four years would go to...

ME.

but guess not. MY FIRST BOOKING ON FRIDAY.

all in all friday was not a good day ): arathi abadoned me for chem prac on fri, so in a frenzy panic, i totally did rubbish for it. Michelle Toh went, "Crystal, no discussion!!"

eh. i don't even have lab partner to discuss with. and to make things worse, she kept staring at me the whole session. i fogot we had to wash the wire thing for thr flame test in HCL, so i just washed it in water and chanted, PLEASE DON'T EXPLODE PLEASE DON'T EXPLODE cos i didn't know what the hell i was doing. if she didn't let us discuss, i would have handed in a blank peice of paper. at least i didn't fill up the solution and heated them like nat did, when we were supposed to do the flame test 0.o

and then, i decided to phone my mum. when the prefect walked in. since i was on the phone, she ended up chasing after sorna first for eating. i tried to escape -.- quite stupid to just stand there and not do anything when you have the chance. but she came after me when i tried to get out. and said "you shouldn't try to run away since i've already spotted you."

okaaay. a normal person wouldn't just stand there and be booked without helping it right!!

PS my earlier post, i realised i made a mistake. it's "fluffy magnolia clouds" and not "marigold", which is undoubtedly the brand of the milk, as i've realised -____-

my eyes literally widened when i read the essay. seriously. let me quote you a few sentences.

"The sweltering sunshine gleamed overhead as the spherical red crest shone."

"Clusters of beach revellers were enjoying themselves in their mesmerizing activities while others were sun tanning in sheer delight under the warmth of the tropical climate."

"When the salty marine breeze filled the air and the silvery waves crumbled, flamboyant umbrellas dazzled as they spread to shield buskers. Endless stretch of balmy golden sand shimmered while the sapphire-marine waters dazzled like myriads of diamonds dancing on tropical water."

"In the midst of sheer merriment and gaiety..."

"... ... my entire world was 'ebony'. "

yeah. this is my brother's (part of, anyway) COMMONWEALTH ESSAY. he actually got handpicked to write the commonwealth essay. and me, who FAILED english EOYS. and if i was asked to write the same essay as him, i bet i will get super lousy marks. The only descriptive world i remember is "fluffy marigold clouds" -__-''

hell, even I don't know HOW to pronounce "gaiety".

since when did my brother become smarter than me, eh?

I NEED TO READ MORE NEWSPAPERS.
