I CAN'T REMEMBER. okay. let's try it again. i just need to type and write and type and write it out until it gets ingrained. bear with me people. perhaps you will learn a thing or two abt the mentrual cycle! how exciting! Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) stimulates follicle to mature. Mature follicle will produce estrogen. Estrogen stimulates secretion of Luteinizing Hormone (LH) Estorgen also stimulates inner lining of uterus to thicken with blood vessels Increase in LH causes ovulation Mature ovum will burst out of follicle. Follicle will become corpus luteum, which produces progesterone Progesterone maintains thickened blood rich inner lining. right. something to that effect anyway. so if your egg doesn't get fertilised by then, the thickened blood rich inner lining will gush out of your you know where. tadah! there you have have mentrual cycle! today was so pissifying. i have become from model student with no bookings, to delinquent. i got booked again): and it's so annoying cos it aint my fault this time! i mean how was i to know that it would rain today. how was i to know that the entire road will jam?? 20 mins on the same road. so annoying! the prefects say that on rainy days, there will be a grace period of 5 mins. I AM SURE A TRAFFIC JAM LASTS ONLY FOR 5 MINS. on rainy days there will be jams, and jams do not last for 5 mins. doesn't everyone know that. i'm so sure the 5 minute grace period was oh so helpful. it's only usesul for lucky people! and so many people were late cos of the rain. but we all got booked anyway -.- they should change the rule where late comers won't be booked on rainy days! FAIR ENOUGH ISN'T IT. and chem sucked. end of story. i will never ever pass chem this yr, esp after QA SPA. i think physics was better. i just did the paper hoping tt my calculations were right. if they're wrong, hahaha end of my physics score too. and i just can't get a thing into my head for bio. SHEESH. nat told me this really cool paradox which i totally have to blog about. XD it had me thinking for a long time in the showers hahaha. a surprise test is defined by the test that takes place on the day you find out about it. my teacher says there's a test next week. so i go through the week. 1. mon tues wed thurs passed without the test. so i conclude that the test is on friday! since i know it is on fri, it isn't a surprise test already right? so there can never be a surprise test on friday cos everyone will know about it. 2. mon tues wed passed without the test. since from 1 i conclude that the test aint happening on fri, only thursday is left! however, if i know its going to take place on thurs, it isn't a surprise test anymore right! 3. mon tues passed. since from 1 and 2, i know it can't be on fri and thurs, it has to be on wed. similarly if i know its on wed, it isn't surprise anymore! 4. mon passed. so it has to be on tues! but no! cos it isn't a surprise! 5. therefore, i conclude that the only day left for this surprise test on on monday! but that won't be a surprise anymore either. so does this mean a surprise test can never take place cos either way is isn't a surprise anymore? how can you be sure that the test is on monday? if a teacher says there's a surprise test next week, it can happen on either day! aha! and therein lies the paradox! COOLIOS NO? oh yes! progesterone also supresses LH and FSH to prevent other follicles from maturing! (: I just read the newspapers today and it says " 7 year old boy has o level chemistry under his belt" i was planning to mug chemistry today and that article really caused me morale to go down the drain. 7 years old with o level chemistry?! HAHA i am 16 years old who cannot pass o level chemistry, how funny is it. chemistry is so difficult! ): mug-o-meter = 0. progress = 0.5 ( i managed to do a bit of chem XD, although i don't know why i should be happy about it given that i can hardly do half of the MCQ questions.) shall stuff myself from sorrow at the buffet later(: and grow fat. which reminds me, 2.4 is coming in about 2 weeks. whoopdeedoo. as if having exams arent enough, now i have to get tested for my fitness too. is there anything that i can pass at all -.- help me. I JUST GOT MY FRANCE ITINERARY and i am not thrilled about the plane arrangements! i mean, msia airlines is alright i guess, (hope they have as good food and movies as singapore airlines) but TRANSFERS? )): i wouldn't have minded if not for my lousy ears, which always hurts so badly during landing, and gets stuck for hours. i can forsee being grumpy the entire 15 hours on the flight to paris because of my aching ears. then... after landing we start touring immediately. haha i think i will be even grumpier 0.o gosh, i really hope the flights okay man. i will probably die on the plane before i even see the eiffel tower! i am one lucky person. i can't believe i got in france. mary and I started screaming like crazy when we found out during ak. oh well, i think i got in cos i took french for a year in sec 1 -.- supposedly. like i can remember anything?! to think i was thinking of giving up the place, but then it's quite a dumb thing to do huh. doesn't seem easy to get in at all(: i hope it's worth it though. i've always wanted to go france! comment allez vous! (okay that doesn't make sense but its the only phrase i remember hahaha) life is pretty screwed up. ak has taken up three days of my hols? eois are like 2 weeks away and i still hv no idea whats going on for bio. thanks to huiwen for reasons i should not mention, that my fa was okaaaay. but then again, like she even marked it?! made me worry like crazy even though its just a dumb fa. i know i'm probably the least busy person in the school, after all i hv cca about twice a week. but then the rest of the time is filled with additional classes. why can people do well without tuition! maybe it's cause ive become too reliant. holidays so not a holiday. homework like bloody ss essay and jianbao plus loads to mug for eois. like i've actually started at all. i highlighted all the exams and pt datelines when i got my exam timetable. and when i was done, i looked at it and was like, uhm, why is the whole page al pink? i can't believe it. we have smth due/ a test every single week. sec 4 is freaking crazy. i can't wait for cca to end either! school is the bane of my existence. i swear, if it weren't for the friends, i think i would have just commited suicide a long long time ago. what an angsty post. this is inspired by tan jia hui btw. XDD jiahui, don't you feel honoured? i've got LOADS more to blog about but whatever. moving on to happier things.... BATCH OUTING! hahahah so exciting i hope it turns out well. (: my mum totally thinks i'm going to have a sec 4 batch meeting, which i am of course, just not what she thinks 0.o I MUST GET A LIFE. well. i mean, get a study life of some sort. i can't stand it. i came home early on purpose to study. but yeah RIGHT. i ended up blog surfing and whatever. WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME. but i don't understand a single thing about bio. even god can't save me now )): XUANNI, DON'T CARE MUST HELLP ME TMR. screams.
